Don't you know that the worlds most successful assassins are women? *hrrr*
Sniper Wolf
waiting is my job.
I'll wait in the dark. My patience is unbreakable.

Always fond of your Sniper Wolf! Your wig has to be my favorite out of the Sniper Wolfs I've seen.

But now I need to wash it again and get the greenish touch more even <3 But I love that wig!
I love your Olga cosplay <3 (among all your other awesome costumes hehe)

Yes, of course! LOL awwww~ to measure all the details out was a pain in the a##, I tell you X_x but at least I got it down pretty accurate in the end :) Still hate measuring weapons up to the real deal or my height X.x I spent most of the time just with measuring even the tiniest distance between different details on this gun. bawww xD
Sometimes I wish I just had a machine where I could put a block of wood in, and then a pc could magically cut it out of that haha. that would be awesome! but instead I have to build every layer up. step by step. layer by layer. The PSG1 wasn't that hard to figure out though. It has just 3- tricky spots (and I made a mistake by one of them haha, thanks to lack of sleep and not paying attention ..daww) but anyways: love to do props! I enjoy that much more than sewing haha! Maybe someday I'm good enough to offer commissions on props :)

Those baseball bat shaving machine things? I totall yknow what you're talking about. It would be nice. lol
I had to play all the minor details on my EMR by ear because it was hard enough to find pictures of it as reference so I used the ones I could find and there wasn't a lot to work with. >< Measurement took a back seat. lol I think you're good enough at props to do commissions NOW.

Not really. there are machines outside (forgot their name though) where you can type orders in and the pc builds up the typed in objekt layer by layer. can be made out of different materials. those machines are so awesome and amazing. 3D-printer or something like that it was called if I remember right.
Oh yeah :D
that is crazy xD
LOL a backseat? wow xD
thanks >///< but there are way better people out there haha. I first need to get rid off ugly parts which appear in my props :/ they bother me too much and I wouldn't feel good to take money for a prop which isn't totally smooth and nearly perfect ^^

Backseat. lol Meaning that I didn't have exact measurements. I had to feel my way around so actual measurements had to take a back-seat.
Like the back burner as people call it. Things that are less important get put aside. "put on the back burner" or took the 'back seat.' XD
Thats the best I can explain it. hahaha
I totally know what machine you're talking about!!!! And while I recognize 3-D Printer, I think that the part that makes the 3-D Object is called something else. Oo Something something blah blah Fabricator. lol

AHHHH *blushes in embarassment* I see! Thanks for the explanaition haha <///< Learned a new thing now haha :'D
AHHH good! Yeah no clue how it's called x'''D
Such a thing would be awesome for cosplay props.... xD But they're wayyyyy to expensive.

Did I read that right, you made the rifle yourself? Amazing job!

Did you have the tranqs hidden away? LOL

*nod* Yes you read right ;) I couldn't afford to buy a 600$ PSG1 (they're expensive here and getting one from america wouldn't help since I had to pay very high border-taxes :(
Thank you very much! I love my PSG1! Since I build it myself I feel even more connected to it and I think that's an important part to portray her character well :)
LOL Well to be honest I didn't took them while I was building the rifle those 3-4 days...
But I fell nearly asleep at the con... thanks to that *lol* never ever set tranqs out x'D you will regret it *lol*

AAAA you make an AMAZING Sniper Wolf! How long did the costume take?

TheJoy-MGS Featured By Owner Sep 23, 2011  Hobbyist Artisan Crafter
Hey there ^.^
Not long. Just around 15 hours. and 5 hours alone were spent to get those damn black parts onto the suit right (they're a bith to get right on the suit without wrinkles and most important straight xD ) and 3-4 hours were spent to cut and style the hair.
The PSG1 took me around 40 hours. I only had 3 days to build it since I didn't expected to wear Sniper Wolf to this convention..but it was the only costume I wanted to wear and without the rifle it's not really done... I feel naked without the PSG1 *g*
So yeah most of the time went into the PSG1...around 40 full hours only for the rifle.

*nod* i know one here who wants to do Vulcan Raven next year. Met him at the convention. That was pretty cool. I look forward to see that...or maybe a gray fox someday here.

*nod* it would be awesome to see one finally!
*nod* same here... in germany we have not many MGS fans :( and cosplayers are very rare here usually (though I see kind of a boom here the last 3 years ...) but most of my friends live in america and I'm never able to cosplay with them (especially not with all the lovely weapons haha, they'd kick me out if I'd bring them with me)

*laughs*
LOL!
What a cheap trick *pouts*

You guys may not have many MGS fans, but boy do you guys have variety. All I ever see here are MGS3 Big Boss Cosplayers with maybe one Eva amongst them XD which it seems would be great for you considering you are The Boss :D Also i'm curious how big do the numbers at your cons get? Over here in Canada which has Anime North reaches around 18-20 thousand.

Hm? What are grinning about
*Sees wolves coming from behind*

Haha yeah that might be true *g*
*g* oh yes it would! My dream is to have a full MGS3 cast just once..but I guess this will stay a dream, sadly ;)
That depends on the ons here. we have very small cons but the biggest one reach around 10 000, too. (I heard tha last big con had 18000 attendees..but I'm not sure if that is a reliable info) and our bookfairs even got easily over 100 000. but bookfairs are not really conventions...all the cosplayers just love to raid the bookfairs ^^ and got a little space+program at the place where it is held)

*snickers*
